who we are

We’re a small but passionate team of nature-lovers, land stewards, and rewilding advocates who believe in the quiet power of trees. United by a deep respect for the land and a long-term vision for Indiana’s ecological future, we’re working to bring native forests back — one forgotten acre at a time. Whether it’s placing land in trust, restoring native plants, or partnering creatively to make rewilding possible, we’re here to help the forests return and thrive for generations to come.

reforesting Indiana with a mission to
revitalize our land

We take a unique approach to Indiana’s habitat restoration:

  • We believe every acre counts.
Even small or scattered patches of land have immense ecological value. Over time, these fragmented forests can grow into a connected, thriving ecosystem.

  • We don’t just focus on big forests.
While others prioritize large, continuous tracts near national or state forests, we embrace an “all of the above” strategy — rewilding wherever nature can take root.

  • We value nature for its own sake.
Forests don’t need to be visited, enjoyed, or developed to be worthwhile. A healthy, native forest is a success — even if no one ever walks its trails.

  • We protect overlooked lands.
From distressed parcels to flood zones, we acquire undervalued land, place it in trust, and ensure it is never developed or logged again.

  • We believe in a mosaic approach.
Our goal isn’t just big forests — it’s total land rewilded. Every patch adds to a broader, wilder vision of Indiana.

  • We admire urban greening — but go further.
Urban forests are valuable, and we may include them one day. But our mission is broader: to reforest land across the state, rural and remote included.

  • We build creative partnerships.
We work with state and federal agencies — and also seek alignment with the energy sector, using green buffers around solar farms or carbon credits to advance rewilding.

  • We’re in this for the long haul.
What we plant today is for tomorrow. Our work is about legacy, resilience, and letting Indiana’s wild heart return — acre by acre, tree by tree.
